Overview
EVOLUTION OF
A POWERHOUSE
Anatal virtually invented the modern autorouter. Since 2010 and thru 2018, we developed the hardware and software. The first stirrings of our invention were posted on various pro audio forums, and many users were enthralled by the prospect of a fully recallable patchbay. Our rev1 XBAYs shipped thereafter, and they've been faithfully routing signals in world-class studios ever since.

BALANCED ANALOG PATCH-POINTS
Our implementation of autorouting features something called matrix decomposition, and we're the only ones doing it. This means your signal travels through the least amount of components possible, which means better sound quality at a better price. Plain and simple. Fewer components dissipate less heat, which equals NO FAN! This was also a significant chapter of our research, because good acoustics matter to us just as much as analog singal integrity. Matrix decomposition is what makes our industry-leading patchpoint capacity possible.
NEXT LEVEL
DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY
Anatal is proudly shipping rev2 of our full XBAY lineup. Featuring modular I/O cards, this revision allows the engineer to spec out their patchbay with the exact number of channels they need, with active or passive I/O options available.
ANALOG SOUND
DIGITAL CONTROL
AOS is our control software which is simple and intuitive. Create hardware device definitions with color, categories, and balanced/unbalanced I/O details. Then assign those devices to the XBAY channels. Route signals with a click, using the matrix style grid or a familiar chain interface as found in any DAW. Multing, summing, inserting, removing, toggle bypassing and more are possible -- Allowing a new universe of creativity. Instantly recall a snapshot using MIDI input, so A and B sections of a song can use totally different routings in real-time.
SOFTWARE
SIMPLICITY
AOS is built with heaps of sofware experience, using only open source libraries. We support Mac, Windows, and Linux, including both ARM and x86-64 chipsets. Our ARM software also enables remote control via iOS, Android, or any device with a web browser.
MODERN
WORKFLOWS
AOS is also controllable via an iPad or laptop on your network. The engineer can sample different mic pres from the live room, or it can allow each musician to have control over their own hardware chain using only their smartphone. You might even be able to control XBAY on airplane flying the Pacific, who knows!AOS is also controllable via an iPad or laptop on your network.
